Le Moulin des Gourmands

In action from 1842 to 1930, and restored in 1997 by the Communauté de Communes Atlancia, the MOULIN DES GOURMANDS in Saint Révérend, inland from Saint Gilles, now invites visitors to climb its stairs for a guided tour to see the transformation of its interior.

Outside, a playground for children, an area for donkeys, as well as a field of grain where they cultivate some birdseed, the corn and the buckwheat, the grapevines and the pinewood. Indoors, a shop introduces land's products coming from ten local producers. All the products are BIO. The visit, guided by the miller, for 30 min, is very instructing. All process, since the grain field, the flour, to the bread is explained. Open 1 July-31 August, Tues-Sun 10am-noon & 3-7pm. Tel: 02 51 60 16 72.
